'Every' instead of 'any'?
To me, it makes the most sense that "However, the press agent did not tell every reporter everything about the accident." implies that there are some reporters that know everything about the accident, but not all. If they had used "any" instead of "every", then it would make sense to have A as the answer choice, but since the every implies that there are some that do indeed know more than others, I'm having issues understanding why A is the correct answer.
A: No reporter knows any more about the accident than any other reporter.

I don't think I'm seeing what you're saying. The text of E tells us that no reporter knows more than any other. This means they all necessarily would know the same amount, and if this were true, than scooping would be impossible. I think it would still be correct if we changed the any to an every, but we don't have to in order for E to point out a real flaw.
