Why is "A" not correct?

How would answer "A" not be a reversal as well?? I was in between "A" and "E" because they both seem like incorrect reversals. Both choices start with heat before carbon. Can you help me understand this?

A is directly supported by the passage: the passage tells us that a decrease in atmospheric carbon causes a decrease in heat in the atmosphere, which in turn causes less rain and thus less carbon washing out. There is no reversal here since that's just parroting what the passage told us, unlike E.
