Why is C wrong?

I think the argument uses one fact, that classes of animals being spread around is a good thing, and then uses that to conclude that the species who do that are not threatened. But couldn't they be threatened due to several other factors? The argument takes for granted that being spread apart means you won't be threatened. So why is C wrong?
