Problem with Answer Choice B
Answer Choice B says: "characterizing the panda as a bear based on superficial similarities when a deeper understanding shows it to be related instead to the raccoon"
I didn't think this could be correct because Pandas ARE actually bears and ARE NOT more closely related to racoons than to bears.
I think the test-makers probably meant RED PANDAS instead of PANDAS. But still, since they didn't make that distinction, I feel like this answer choice doesn't work, because pandas and bears ARE technically the same thing, and their similarities are not just superficial, whereas one of the main points of the passage is that picaros and trickster figures ARE NOT in fact the same thing and their similarities are in large part superficial.
