The statement: "Ambiguity inspires interpretation" is the conclusion of the argument. Why? Because every other sentence supports it, while it does not support any statement in the passage.

We are given an example of an ambiguous statement: "We are the measure of all things." And then we are give two different interpretations of this ambiguous statement. Thus, ambiguity inspires interpretation.

So, answer choice (D) is the correct answer because it states that this claim is the conclusion: "It is a view that other statements in the argument are intended to support," i.e. the conclusion.
