Hi, this is indeed an odd question. I would probably start by trying to figure out what we are being asked to do. Since the question asks us what answer choice would prove the conclusion to be true, I can say that the right answer is something that guarantees there are more or the same number of trees in S as there are in M.
I don't immediately know what would guarantee this, but what we would need is to prove there are not more trees in M than in S. Other that just telling us the number of trees, the easiest way to do this would be to put M in S. If M is in S, every tree in M is also in S, so it must be true that there are as many if not more trees in S than in M. Indeed, this is a good match for B.
