Question Type

Out of curiosity, which exam was this question in? It seems relatively unusual in its prompt and structure, so I'm guessing it is from an older exam. Would this type of question truly constitute a "Weaken" question? Thanks!

Great instincts! This is definitely an older question. It comes from Prep Test 5, June 1992. It is technically a weaken question because you are being asked what point did Q weaken, i.e. which one of M's hypotheses did Q attempt to weaken?
