@imarsh25 In the prompt, we are told that this physicist has taught a huge number of other successful creative researchers. This is then used to conclude that the skill of creative research can be taught.

But that’s a bit of a jump; what if this physicist happened to teach all these people because he only taught people who were already adept at creative research, and he just helped them along the way?

C gets at this; that at least someone he taught was NOT a creative researcher by the time he began teaching them, and that he was able to teach them these skills.
