No problem! Let's take a look at all the answer choices:(A) is incorrect because it does not favor Ms. Fring's position over Mr. Blatt's position. Either position works with answer choice (A), because hiring the expensive expert could have occurred because consultants make better decisions or because the executives want to be able to blame the consultants if things go poorly.
(B) is incorrect because once again it does not favor Ms. Fing's position over Mr. Blatt's position. We still do not know why one of these companies chose to use a consultant while the other did not.
(C) is correct. If a successful firm of expert consultants reduces its fees only to see its volume of business drop, this would favor Ms. Fing's position over Mr. Blatt's. If Mr. Blatt's position were correct, we would see an increase in the firm's volume of business, not a drop, because according to Mr. Blatt, expert consultants are hired because they make better decisions. A drop in volume after a reduction in price clearly supports Ms. Fing's position that executives hire consultants in order to avoid responsibility and that the more expensive the experts are, the more the executives can blame them.
(D) is completely irrelevant. We do not care about how an expert consultant builds up a successful business.
(E) is incorrect because once again it does not favor Ms. Fing's position over Mr. Blatt's position. We still do not know why this company chose to use consultants when deciding to open two new stores.
Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I'm having trouble understanding this question. Could someone please diagram the argument for each respective party, and also for answer choice (C)?
