Alright, so we are told that a normal human liver cell will divide 60 times and then stops. Even freezing the cell for months or even years will not "trick" the cell; it will "remember" where it stopped dividing.Yang December 19, 2015
Still confused! Answer B didn't say anything about divide more than 60 times, still lost with your answer choice. Please help!Alex January 24, 2017
@Yang Part of the question stem asks, "If the information above is accurate, a liver cell in which more than 60 divisions took place in a tissue culture CANNOT be which of the following?" We know that normally a human liver cell will stop at 60 divisions. So B has to be the answer.
