@csolojr where do you see "cannot be true" here?

This question states, "Each of the following statements must be true EXCEPT:"

So this is a Bizarro Must Be True question.

This means that the four incorrect answer choices "Must Be True" whereas the correct answer choice is "Not Necessarily True."

Remember, "not necessarily true" is the logical opposite of "must be true."

Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I also see "cannot be true" as an answer choice which I chose.

Yes, (C) says "Cannot Be True" but (B) is the correct answer choice here.

My apologies if I am misunderstanding your question here. Please feel free to clarify.

I'm confused as to why not necessarily true is the logical opposite of must be true. How do you know that? How come the answer is not cannot be true?

@csolojr and @noname,

Happy to help. I think the wording might have confused you a bit.

The way this question is structured, we're looking to pick the answer
choice that means the same thing as what's being said in the stimulus.

"Each of the following statements must be true EXCEPT"

What does this statement mean? It means that something doesn't have to
be true. We need an answer choice that says at it doesn't have to be
true.

(B) says, "not necessarily true," and this means the same thing as
"doesn't have to be true," so it's the correct answer choice.

In the explanation for (B), it's referring to what the other answer
choices would look like on a REAL LSAT question. On real LSAT
questions with this question stem, the wrong answers will all be
things that must be true.

However, for this question (which is more of a drill), the wrong
answers are merely incorrectly describing what the stimulus is asking
for.

Does that make sense? Let us know if you have any other questions!
