Weaken?

Why can't this be translated as "weaken"? I think I'm having trouble applying this to questions. For example, You believe all tomatoes are fruit. But you also believe all tomatoes are vegetables, Why would "you also believe all tomatoes are vegetables" be considered false? What would weaken it?

@kristinasef the keyword in this question stem is "inconsistent."

"Inconsistent" means we are looking for something that directly contradicts the information set forth in the stimulus (i.e. cannot be true).

This is a very different criteria than an answer choice that merely weakens the stimulus.
