Daily Drills 52 - Section 52 - Question 1

Which one of the following principles, if valid, most helps to justify the reasoning in the argument?

Strengthen with Necessary

Why is this not considered a "Principle Strengthen" but rather a "Strengthen with Necessary Premise"? Is it because the necessary premise is stronger than just a regular "strengthen" premise?

@kristinasef exactly! "Most helps to justify" lacks the necessary terminology needed for a Strengthen with Necessary Premise question so this would be a normal Strengthen (Principle) question.

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Thank you!

I'm looking over this again; is the right answer for "most helps to justify" supposed to be Strengthen (Principle)?

The right answer on the drill said it's a Strengthen with Necessary Premise. But on drill 61, question #1, the right answer for "most helps to justify" is "Strengthen (principle)"

@kristinasef sorry about that! This question asks you to identify the principle that most helps to justify the reasoning in the argument so this is a Principle (Strengthen) question.

As such, the correct answer here would be (C).

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
