@samuel sure, let's take a closer look.

The claim the book reviewer is taking issue with is the author's claim that there are "three basic ways to store energy: as heat, as electricity, or as kinetic energy."

First, the book reviewer points out that "I cannot call to mind any effective ways to store energy as electricity," i.e. this list is possibly inaccurate.

The book reviewer then continues on to state that "any capable student of physics could readily suggest a few more ways to store energy: chemical, gravitational, nuclear," i.e. this list is certainly not exhaustive.

As such, (B) would be the correct answer, i.e. "The list given of ways to store energy is possibly inaccurate and certainly not exhaustive."

Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hey Mehran,

The use of the word "basic" threw me off. The list from book is of basic ways to store energy, but the list of way to store energy at the end doesn't mention that these are "basic ways," which made me think that the first list, if unhelpful, wasn't necessarily inexhaustive. Can you help me out here? Thanks!

Hi @MichelleRod, thanks for your post. The use of the word "basic" in context here indicates that the authors of the book believe that all energy storage can be boiled down to one of these three methods (heat/electricity/kinetic energy). Hope this helps!
