@brenthorn the conclusion here is the second sentence, i.e. "Yet it is probably more effective to advertise bicycles earlier in the year."

What is earlier in the year referring to? Before ". . . the warm weather of spring and summer arrives."

(A) is a direct restatement of this, i.e. "bicycle advertisements are probably more effective if they appear before the arrival of warm spring weather."

So (A) would be the correct answer.

Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Could you please explain why answer D is incorrect?

Mehran June 6, 2017

The problem with (D) is that it is a premise as opposed to the conclusion of the argument.

This is a Main Point question and, as stated in the explanation above, (A) is a direct restatement of the main point here.

Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Hello,
Can someone provide. A different explanation as to why the answer choice is A and not D. " Yet" usually indicates a counter premise. I went with choice D.
