What is the difference between "not necessarily true" and "could be true" as the answer? Thank you.

@TashaPenwell "not necessarily true" is the logical opposite of "must be true."

Remember, the logical opposite is the minimum required to disprove the statement.

Since "must be true" means it is 100% true, the minimum required to disprove this statement is that it is "not necessarily true," i.e. there is a possibility it is false (could be false).

"Could be true," on the other hand, is the logical opposite of "cannot be true."

"Could be true" means that it is possible. "Cannot be true" means that it is not possible (must be false).
