@sharpen7 the missing premise here is F ==> G.

That allows for the following transitive chain:

E ==> F ==> G
not G ==> not F ==> not E

(A) is the contrapositive of F ==> G, i.e. not G ==> not F, which is identical in meaning so (A) is the correct answer.
