@kyoon the issue with (B) is that it does not pass the Must Be True prong of Argument Structure questions.

The point that capitalism and industrialization are two very different social phenomena is undermining the critics of those that argue "that capital punishment for theft was an essential part of the labor discipline of British capitalism."

(B), however, states that it is contradicting "that capital punishment for theft was an essential part of the labor discipline of British capitalism," which is clearly not the case.
