Rotelle's claim is that Sim is not capable of effectively addressing the issues facing the country. What reason does Rotelle give for this claim? Sim's age. Sim's response to Rotelle underhandedly makes a statement on Rotelle's own age issues/limits, and side-steps Rotelle's actual concern of Sim's ability to effectively address the issues the country is facing. Therefore, Sim fails to respond to Rotelle's actual concern. This is a great example of an Ad Hominem attack. This is a clear attack on the person making the argument, Sim, rather than the argument itself, Rotelle's ability of effectively addressing the issues facing the country.
