Okay so, as you can see, the correct answer is (E).

"They cannot be relied on to initiate economic changes that would reform the world's food distribution system," is the main point of the argument.

Why? Because multinational grain companies operate so as to maximize profits and even though the actions of these companies sometimes do result in such economic change, this is only incidental. The maximization of profits normally depends on a stable economic environment, one that discourages change.

Thus, as you can see, all the sentences in the argument support the second clause of the first sentence as the main point.

Answer choice (B) is not the main point because it supports the statement that these multinational grain companies cannot be relied on to initiate economic changes that would reform the world's food distribution system, i.e. the second clause of the first sentence.

We know that the main point of an argument will never support any other sentence. So, answer choice (E) is our answer.
