Hi @JayDee8732, thanks for your post.

This is an Errors in Reasoning question.

George asks: Why are a large number of people suddenly taking ballroom dancing lessons?

Boris doesn't really answer George's question. Boris says that as of 1995, many people learned the merengue and several related dances, and that after that, other ballroom dance styles started to catch on. But he doesn't explain WHY people started learning merengue and other dances back in 1995.

Answer choice (D) expresses the flaw in Boris's response to George: Boris fails to account for the *beginning* of the revival of interest in ballroom dancing.

Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any additional questions.

So would it correct to classify Merengue as a ballroom dance? I thought Merengue was a type of folk dance? Thank you
