The term Generalization

Could I just get a deeper explanation of this as it refers to this question type.

I am assuming you are referring to Sufficient & Necessary statements, which I refer to as general principles.

The idea here is that these statements apply generally.

So for example, "all carrots are vegetables" is a general principle that applies to (1) all carrots and (2) anything that is not a vegetable.

When it is said in the lecture in could be also a "principle" - what does it mean by that? Main Principle - like a main idea or main point? I am a bit confused on that part.
