identifying variables

Is it helpful to identify variables before you begin writing the N/S formulas out, sort of like how we are always taught in math? Or is that a waste of time? For example: WF=white flowers LS=long stems FS=fuzzy seeds

You can come up with the variables when you diagram them.

Remember, what you choose to represent the conditions is completely irrelevant.

All that matters is that you know what your variables stand for.

So for example, I could have selected the following variables instead:

White flowers = W
Long stems = L
Fuzzy seeds = F

Hope that helps! Please let us know if you have any questions.
