What is the difference in flaw between answer B and D? I understand how both are wrong, but both seem the same reasoning as the original question.

(B) is flawed because of the jump from "birthday party" to "birthday".

Otherwise (B) would be a valid contrapositive argument.

(D) on the other hand is assuming that the negation of the sufficient condition allows us to conclude the negation of the necessary condition.

But we know that you don't just negate so (D) is actually a flawed argument that is identical to the one we encountered in the stimulus.
