Hi @Steph,

(B) is the answer because we're told in the stimulus that having great lungs or powerful hearts is only "typical" of the abnormal physiology of the athletes, not certain. The cyclist might have had some other abnormal physiological trait, like super strong legs. If the stimulus had said that the abnormal physiology MUST be one of the two, then it'd be a different story. Hope this helps.
