I understand the reasoning of why A would be correct (A rather than B, because r1+r2), but why would D be incorrect? Both reasons support a financial benefit, but they are two reasons why Anita would benefit, so it seems similar. Do other questions need such specificity as this one? Thanks!

As you correctly pointed out, the pattern in the stimulus requires two distinct reasons to benefit, whereas (D) only provides one reason - parking fees. The part regarding "daily fee" being "higher than the round trip ticket" still relates to parking fees, thus the argument only provides one reason for taking the train.
