Answer Explanation

Hi LSAT Max, Would lines 20-23 support answer choice (A)? Originally I chose B, but I think the "modern historian" would justify the question asking about the twentieth century. I'm not too sure if that's the reason for the right answer, so any clarification would be greatly appreciated!

@Julie,

The passage talks about "historical tendency, which has persisted into the twentieth century, to view scientific discovery as resulting from momentary flashes of individual insight rather than from extended periods of cooperative work by individuals with varying levels of knowledge and skill" (lines 33-39). The correct answer choice (A) paraphrases this statement.

Does this make sense?
