@Meredith,Let's look at (C) and (E).
(C) says, "the ease with which the Teatro Campesino members were able
to develop actos based on their own experiences"
The problem with (C) is that just because their performances were
based on personal experience and had palpable immediacy does not mean
that they were actually easy to bring about. It's possible that acting
based on personal experience is really hard. The thing is, the passage
never states one way or another whether this is the case, so (C) is
unsupported. Thus, we can get rid of it.
(E) says, "how vividly the actos conveyed the performers’ experiences
to their audiences"
If we go back to the passage to look at where the phrase "palpable
immediacy" is used, we're told that because actos were based on
participants' personal experiences, they had palpable immediacy. This
appears to imply that the actos' performances were particularly
touching and meaningful due to the fact that they had actually lived
through the events that they were depicting while acting. Recognizing
this, (E) stands out as the best/correct answer choice. The author is
using the phrase "palpable immediacy" to suggest that the performers'
experiences came off clearly and vividly, so (E) is correct.
Does this make sense? Let us know if you have any other questions!

Thank you for the clarification! I had picked C as well but now understand why E is the correct answer!
