I am not sure that there is a clear distinction for these terms as far as the LSAT goes. When it appears, it typically signals an overarching conclusion or a broad point, such as that size influences mating decisions in all societies.

I wouldn't worry about this as you are never tested on drawing a universal conclusion rather than a conclusion, or vice-versa.
