Hello @kristinsmith04,

An important part of this passage is a distinction drawn by the author in paragraph 1. The author discusses two social interpretations of Darwin's theory of evolution, and states that Gilman belonged to the second group. One problem with D is the word "evaluation." An evaluation is not just a description, because it implies judgment. The author does not say that one ideology is good or bad, so evaluation is not the right word here.

Another problem with D is "attributes similar reasoning to a particular individual." The author does not attribute. Rather, Gilman personally identified with this ideological camp.
