Which one of the following statements most accurately characterizes a difference between the two passages?

Main Point Question
Main point question on page 3 question 4 in the Logical Reasoning I book.
The question stem ask for, "The Main conclusion drawn in Helen's argument"
I answered C, because it seems like the main conclusion. It seemed to sum up Helen's statements in the paragraph; however, the correct answer choice is D.
To me, both C and D as if appear as if they could be correct. Can someone explain why D is a better answer than C?

c is wrong because the whole point is that lied when he should have told the truth. Also d is better because it clearly states it in the first sentence which is the conclusion.
