@ashwinid,The question asks if W is scheduled to perform in the morning, which of the following could be true?
Since this is a could be true question, all the incorrect answer choices must necessarily be false. The game requires us to assign six entertainers - R S T W Y Z to six performance times:
AM R Z W R Z W
9 10 11
PM Y ___ ___ T S
2 3 4
R >Z
WY
Since R must perform before Z and Z is scheduled to perform in the morning, R must necessarily perform in the morning as well. If W is scheduled to perform in the morning, we know that R Z W must perform in the morning and T Y S in the afternoon. Since Y must immediately follow W and Y must perform in the afternoon, W must perform at 11 am, and Y at 2 pm, which means that R must perform at 9 am and Z at 10 am. The only free variables we have left are S &T which could go either to 3 pm and 4 pm.
We can see that the only choice that could be true is (B) S is scheduled at 3 pm. (E) must be false because R Z and W must all be scheduled in the morning, and Y must immediately follow W, so if W is at any other time slot but 11 am and Y immediately follows it, there are no two morning slots left for R & Z.
Let me know if this makes sense and if you have any other questions.
