as a result OF

While I understand that "as a result" most times introduces a Conclusion, therefore, in most cases, the necessary condition, I am confused as to whether or not "as a result OF" does the same. It sounds as if it introduces a premise, therefore, a sufficient condition. Am I correct? If not, let me know, please.
