Question number 6 from lecture

"Other people do some research on their own, but just as often rely only on their broker or on hunches. "Only a few always do their own research before investing" why would this sentence not spur a sufficient and neccessary clause with the key words only and Always in the second sentence??

Hi @ahbuch. When I click to view the question for this one, I'm seeing a video to the course introduction. So we can better assist you, can you let us know which lecture this is from? Thanks in advance!

Quantifiers

Hi @ahbuch,

I think that's because the "other people" is a subset of all of the people mentioned in the first sentence. It is not ALL people, only SOME people, so we're not able to use S/N.
"Only a few" is likewise a small subset of all of the people. With S/N statements, we're talking about ALL the people.
