Why not A?

Is it because an “attack” isn’t being made?

Hi @gabby_teixeira,

Thanks for the question! The issue with (A) is that the city council member isn’t really distorting and attacking an argument. The original argument of the Senior Guild was just that they wanted a temporary exception to the ordinance prohibiting automobiles in municipal parks. There’s not really any reasoning giving, and so there’s nothing to distort, and indeed, the city council members seems to agree with the Senior Guild. The city council member’s problem is introducing another argument that has a flaw, not distorting and attacking the original argument.

Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any further questions that you might have.
