D is correct because if T and W are in G, that forces S into H (if S were in F, X would have to be in G and there are already two technicians in G). We still have to place RT together and the only computer remaining with two open slots is F. This leaves X having not been placed, and the only open computer is H (placing X with S).

Is there an alternative method to attacking these types of questions? Jelena just refers to her previous work but what's another way?

Hi BennyB33,

For fully determined questions, there are a couple of strategies.

The best case scenario would be to reference the scenarios you set up in the beginning of the game. If there are scenarios where the game is fully (or almost fully) determined, I would check those out first to see if an answer choice would make a diagram that is almost entirely complete become fully complete.

If that is not possible, I would prioritize answer choices that reference variables that trigger a lot of other rules. I would also be sure to prioritize any answer choice that includes any variables that are not referenced in any of the rules (there are none in this game), as it will usually be hard to fill out the game entirely without placing this sort of wild card.

As a last resort, I one can try to make scenarios for all five answer choices- although this is usually the most time consuming.

I would recommend checking out the office hours, there are a few about fully determined questions.
