Dec 2000 Q4

Is there a better way to break down/create a diagram for question #4?

Hi Makenziekarl, thanks for reaching out.

I would suggest two things to make this one easier to visualize. You can always use dashes instead of the greater than sign. These are more flexible and allow for a cleaner setup.

A - B - C etc. = A before B before C.

Also, the extra greater than sign between L and S is superfluous because we already know that S if after Q which is after L for this question.

These two considerations would clean up the setup, however the actual relationship between the variables and the branched nature of the ordering is correct and the only way to truly show the sequence correctly.

I hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

I can't say that I am confident in the explanation. Could someone explain it just a tinchy bit slower please?

I'm not sure why the answer saying J is more popular than V would be correct when the question itself uses the condition that V is more popular than Q and J

Read the question carefully! V > q and l > j are separate conditions.
