Missing Premise Drill Flashcard Question
Hi,
I noticed that for one of the flashcard answers the original answer was:
P: X --> A
not A --> not X
P: not B --> X (missing premise)
not X --> B
C: not A --> B
not B --> A
My answer for the missing premise was:
P: not X --> B
not B --> X
I noticed that I have the same variables needed for the missing premise, but my answer is reverse from the original answer. I did that for a few other flashcards and wanted to know if my answer to the missing premise is wrong? If so, why?

Your answer is still correct. The missing premise and the contrapositive of the missing premise have the same meaning. So, as long as you have the same statements, it does not matter which you come up with as the original missing premise and which you come up with as the contrapositive. It seems like you have the logic down- great job!
Hope that helps. Please let us know if you have any other questions.
