Thanks for the question! So this question is asking us for a statement that both Laurie and Elsa would disagree on. That means we should be able to take that statement and definitively say that one of them agrees with it, and one of them disagrees with it. It can’t be one of them agrees with it, and we don’t know what the other person thinks. They must firmly take opposing stances.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at (A), which tells us that they would disagree about what types of public art are most characteristic of contemporary democracies. But read through their arguments again. Neither of them touches on which type of art is most characteristic of contemporary democracies; it’s too specific (most characteristic) and isn’t super relevant to what the core of their disagreement is about. As far as we’re concerned, neither of them stated an opinion on this, and so it’s possible that they agree on this issue.
