Hi @schicago,

Happy to help!

We are looking for the answer choice which must be true based on the information provided in the passage.

We learn from the passage that, if you are infected by virus X, your body will produce antibodies to fight the virus after a week.

We also learn that there is a test which can reliably tell us how many antibodies are present in a person's body and that this test can be used to estimate how long someone has had virus X.

Therefore, it follows that anyone who has virus X will not exhibit the infection if tested using the antibody test until they have had the virus for at least a week. We know this because the body does not produce antibodies to fight the virus until it has been in your system for a week.

Answer choice (E) is correct because anyone infected by the virus will fail to exhibit infection for a time after they become infected (one week).

Hope this is helpful! Please let us know if you have any further questions.
