Difference between D and E

I was able to arrive at the correct answer after narrowing down to D and E. I am still not completely sure why E would not work though?

Hi @kearann,

Thanks for the question! So the issue with (E) is pretty simple actually. Take a look at the conclusion in the stimulus. It tells us that “it must be that the electric outlet usually is turned on.” In other words, the main verb in the conclusion is “must,” signifying conditional logic, and the main subject is “it.” It goes “must…usually.” Now take a look at the conclusion in (E). it tells us that most people with vivid imaginations must find the plot disturbing. In other words, it goes “most…must,” which flips the order of the quantifier and the conditional logic. And this makes the two answer choices quite different. (E) is conditional logic used in a quantifier; the stimulus is a quantifier used in conditional logic. And thus, the conclusion in (E) and the stimulus aren’t parallel, and so (E) can’t be the correct answer.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.
