Explanation

I chose six, because I included the count for m and g. However, I believe I was wrong to include those in the count because I had to randomize their position and play around with it. so, is the answer four because m and g are not included?

The general setup includes a long chain F > P/T > P/T > L > G. Only M is unknown. However, if m is two away from g, m must be four and g must be six. This enables us to place the order as

F PT PT M L G. Thus we know four of the six, we do not know which of p and t are third or second.
