Hi @andreaskormusis,

Thanks for the question! So we’re asked to put L and H on the mornings of days 2 and 3, and then see which one of the following could be on the morning of day 1. Well, let’s see what happens if we do that. Obviously, (C) is wrong because of rule 1, and (D) is wrong because that would violate the last rule. Now, if we put F or N in day 1 in the morning, we know that we have to kick out 3 of the lectures, which is too many. S and W have to get kicked out, since they’re only in the morning. And then O has to get kicked out, since it’d have to be on day 2, but it can’t be together with L. Now, if we put S on day 1 in the morning, it works out, and that’s why (E) is correct. We’d just kick out O and W, and everything else would be good.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask any other questions that you might have.

I'm a little confused as to why "fresco" couldn't be scheduled for the morning of Day 1

We know that O can't be in, since L is on day 2. That means there is only one more out slot. However, there is also only one more morning slot, so that means that either s or w must be in that morning slot. So, it's impossible for F to go in that morning slot.
