Only Vs The Only
Could The reason why "The Only" is different from "Only" be further explained? The vegetable example did not provide an explanation that showed the logical difference.

Could it be because when it is being stated in an argument or stimulus that "Only" indicates a general all-encompassing definition where "The only" will be indicating a situational example?

Or is it because "only" indicates the possibility of something taking place, whereas "The Only" indicates the present reality of something?
