^ I missed this one too, when I went back to review I found the direct textual support in line 6 ("an ecologist whose investigation of calvaria major was a sidelight to his research on endangered birds of Mauritius..."). I've noticed sometimes they include a question that will sneak in small details from the beginning of the passage that are easy to skim past, like this one!
