Explanation for correct answer

Can someone please elaborate on why D would be the correct answer? It just isn't making sense for me.

Hello @shaase,

We are given three important premises here.
1. In good weather, 60 planes per hour can land at the airport.
2. In bad weather, only 30 planes can land per hour.
3. The airline plans on good weather.

Answer choice D is a logical conclusion coming from premises 1 and 3. If the airlines are planning on good weather, then they are expecting 60 planes to be able to land simultaneously. Because this is more than 30, answer choice D must be true.

Remember that this is a "must be true" question. This means that we are to take information given to us in the stimulus and draw our own conclusion based on that information.
