Thanks for the question! So the general idea with these questions if that you’re given say a premise, and a conclusion, and you need to find a third premise that helps you get to the conclusion.
So say you have the following argument:
P: A P: A—>B C: B
You can see how the premises lead to the conclusion, right? So now we take one of them out:
P: A P: ? C: B
And you have to figure out, “what premise do I have to add to the premises I have, in order to get to the conclusion?” And here, of course, the answer is A—>B. That’s the general logic behind these questions.
