Hi, I like to ask why B is correct, not C? I read the passage, both choices has convincing reasoning.

I think there's just no support for the idea that the carbon dating method is outdated. We are told this is the standard method, and it seems like the new methods is far from perfect as noted by the potential issues in the last paragraph. B describes this well, but there's no support for the idea that the carbon dating method is outdated.
