What is wrong with answer choice C?

I am confused as to how the few sentences in the last paragraph that mention some scientists' reservations about the theory are enough to deem it the main point, as answer choice B states.

I think the issue with C is that it presents something as true that was only suggested to be a possibility in the passage. Additionally, it fails to capture the idea that there is disagreement about the value of fractals.
