Same I dont understand how C. wasn't the answer because they did use the same amount of instruments (50) for each

For three, we are looking for an answer choice that cannot be true. We are told that the entire southern half of the region was covered by water during the C period, and that dinosaurs did not live in water. Therefore we know that they did not live in the southern part of the region during the C period. Since the C period is part of the M period, they must have not lived there during the entirety of the M period.

It looks like the other question is about 5. For 5, C could be true. The passage doesn't say they used 50 instrument. It says they did 50 sterilizations of a set. This tells us nothing about how many instruments are in a set.

How is Example 3 a set of facts? Obviously, there are facts, but the passage uses those facts to reach the conclusion that Plesiosaurs are not Dinosaurs (P->~D). 1) C Period -> end of M Period; 2) D->LonL; 3) P: can swim; 4) b/c #3, P->~LonL; that allows the conclusion in the stimulus at "Thus": P->~LonL->~D or P->~D. But the video says that we are reading a set of facts...I get that this distinction is not necessary to actually answer this particular question, but it seems fairly clear that the stimulus is an argument and not just a set of facts about P and D.

also, how is the answer not D? I thought D must be false since dinosaurs "roamed the earth" during the Mesozoic period, and since, for at least part of it, they were not in the southern half, they must have been in the northern half (since there are only two halves)?
